Boston Harbor is a national park, a working waterfront, and a wide-open cruising ground all at once. Thirty-four islands, calm protected water, and open coastline in every direction. With a Nimbus T8 kept ready for you, a day on the water starts the moment you step aboard — no trailering, no rigging, no upkeep. Just point the bow and go. Here are a few of the runs our members and owners make all season long.
The Boston Harbor Islands
Anchor off Spectacle Island for a swim, or land at Georges Island and walk the Civil War ramparts of Fort Warren. Quiet beaches, hiking trails, and skyline views just minutes from the dock — the easiest great day on the water there is.
Boston Light
Run out to Little Brewster Island and the oldest lighthouse station in America, standing since 1716. It is the classic Boston Harbor photo and one of the best short cruises anywhere on the East Coast.
Dock & Dine Downtown
Cruise into the Seaport or the North End and tie up for dinner on the water. Arriving by boat to a waterfront table is the best seat in the city — and the shortest run on this list.
Cape Ann, Gloucester & Rockport
Point north for the day and trade the harbor for the rocky coast of Cape Ann. Lunch on the Gloucester waterfront, gunkhole into Rockport, and run home along one of New England's prettiest shorelines.
Provincetown for Lunch
The big-day run every boater dreams about. Cross Massachusetts Bay, tie up at the tip of the Cape, and spend the afternoon in P-town before heading home. With the T8's range and range-extending cabin, it is very much on the table.
The Sunset Cruise
No plan required. An easy evening loop of the inner harbor as the skyline lights up — the run our members reach for most. Bring a bottle, bring the family, and let the city put on its show.
The Boat Is Always Ready
Every one of these runs is easier when the boat is fueled, clean, and waiting at the dock. That is the whole idea behind Boston Yacht Group. Whether you join the membership or own a Nimbus T8 outright, a USCG-licensed captain and a real management team keep the boat ready so your time is spent on the water — not maintaining it. Members pay for their own fuel plus a small surcharge that covers engine maintenance. Everything else is handled.

Do I need boating experience to get started?
No. New boaters are welcome. We offer American Boating powerboat courses and sailing lessons to get you comfortable and certified, and a USCG-licensed captain checks you out on the boat before you head out on your own.
What is handled before I get to the dock?
The boat, slip, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, and winter storage are handled. You reserve your time in the app, arrive at the dock, and go. Members cover the fuel they use plus a small per-gallon surcharge for engine maintenance.
How do I decide which kind of boating fits me?
Start with how you want to use the harbor. A short sunset run, an island day, or a longer trip up the coast all call for a different plan. Captain Paul can walk you through membership or ownership and help you choose the right fit.
